Closer to their every day
Six Hands exists for the families who love someone in care and can’t always be in the room.
Our story
Moving a parent into care is one of the hardest things a family does. Even when the place is good and the staff are kind, something gets lost. You used to see their day. Now you get a phone call, a quick “she’s doing fine,” and a lot of quiet wondering in between.
On the other side of that phone call are caregivers who see everything. The meal she finished. The song that got her singing. The afternoon that was hard and the moment it turned around. Most of that never leaves the building.
We started by listening to families and caregivers about that gap. What we heard was simple. Families want to know how the day actually went. Caregivers want their work to be seen, and they want to know the person they’re caring for, not just the chart.
Six Hands is building the tools to close that gap. Our first is DailyCare: a short daily note from the caregiver and a weekly summary the whole family can read, add to, and share.
Where we are today
DailyCare is in development. We’re building it alongside families, caregivers, and care managers, and we test every idea with the people who’ll use it. DailyCare began as part of InkTree, a company that helps families record and keep their stories. It now has its own home here at Six Hands.
We don’t have big numbers to show you yet, and we won’t make them up. What we have is a clear idea of who we’re building for, and a lot of conversations with the people who will tell us if we got it right.
How we work
-
Families first, always
We design for a tired family member reading on a phone at the end of a long day. Big type, plain words, no pressure.
-
Caregivers are partners
Nothing we build should make a caregiver’s shift harder. If it adds paperwork, we haven’t finished the job.
-
Honest about what we know
We show real examples, label anything illustrative, and tell you plainly what’s still being built.
-
Your family’s information is your family’s
We collect only what we need, protect it carefully, and never sell it. Read our Privacy Policy.
We’d love to hear from you
Whether you’re a family member, a caregiver, a care manager, or a care community, your experience shapes what we build.
